Too young

Too young

A Poem by Leigh

Oh youthful exuberance
Drink in the elixir of life
Your intent to be a man
Make a home
Take a wife
Bigger plans were meant for you
Ones we can't perceive
Selfishly we thought you'd stay
Yet you had to leave
So blushing cheeks and sparkling eyes lack colour where you lay
Now it is the ferryman who's final toll you'll pay
