Greenway

Greenway

A Poem by Leigh

With Sofia in view on the Greenway,
I kissed her in the rain on a sunny day....

Karma wore a blue dress and shared a cigarette,
three weeks after we had met.

Time for a secret she whispered,
and closer i leant...
Lost in ocean like eyes swimming I spent.

But autumn came and the leaves bolder.
The first breath of winter drawing closer...colder!

Passion abated, and ghosts of lovers past thirsts were sated.
Nothing to give and for fear of taking,
our time on the Greenway now forsaken.
