Lie Deep

Lie Deep

A Poem by LemonMarie

Kicked and worn the exterior,
Heart layered underneath protecting scales- dealing with cards fair, dealing with them straight.
A man in true sense.
A sea lured creature who hustles the tides,
Believes that family is the all and end all.

Watch what you say,
The chance of forgiveness is slim and remembrance great.
Because You lie deep under,
Under a scaled exterior.

Sounds like you know a lounge lizard, only too well.

Lemon Marie,

You have a very unique style of writing which I really enjoy reading. To me poetry that is too abstract, or too obscure is tedious. This is not tedious. The image I get is of a Father. I may be wrong though.

Very nice,

Mark
