BRIGHT FUTURE!

DARK PAST!

I saw it, it was clear as day

Only thing that's certain,

The future is uncertain

This future is chasing a dream

Pull the vail and you get curtains

It's all behind me, after-all,

You can only learn from our mistakes

If you pass retakes

This knowledge I have,

Will it show my fate?

Or, even, better the stake?

[Thinking] - those with lessons are safe

Those with passion are insane

So grown ups can't misbehave

Young ones, well, we are to change the day

So how is it that human race

Keeps going the same way

It seems you are going nowhere

Even if you change pace

Your shadow won't change shape

Even if you switch races

Shadows still have the same faces

Tomorrow wear your shades

You now fear yesterday's shame

It might deter tomorrow's fame

You might not see what tomorrow brings

But yesterday is as clear as day

Underneath the comfort of tomorrow's shade

We do not know what shadows lay

So look at your past, you might see what paths you made

Which road is safe, where the journey is made
