When Fall Comes Upon Us

When Fall Comes Upon Us

A Poem by LeslieNoel
"

This is a description of the fall season

"
Fall colors,
vibrant in their hues,
adorn the landscape,
dotting the mountains in a kaleidoscope of patterns.
Autumn has danced into season,
flashing her shades of reds, oranges, and yellows
in a display of dalliance.
Crisp air as sweet as the first bite
from an apple harvest
rushes past me,
taking with it crumpled leaves.
They gently swirl in the invisible
currents and eddies of the wind.
As do all things,
autumn's colors will dull and wither.
Enjoy them, now, before winter's shiver
comes creeping up the trunks of the trees
and plunges nature into its elegant freeze.
