Things I Can Do

Things I Can Do

A Poem by Letemdangle
"

Mankind has discovered many things, but not yet the soul.

"

I awoke, and ate the bread, drank the milk.

Outside I plowed the fields, I moved the dirt.

I built bridges, sewers and roads.

I smashed rocks, diverted streams and rivers.

For power I installed paddle wheels, dams and generators.

I tapped the earth, for oil, gas and gold.

I built a bomb that could end all time.

I developed a rocket that took me to space.

My time on the moon was mans last leap.

I filled the stratosphere with satellites, to

monitor mans last life hope.

I have done so many things,

but the thing I so treasure most,

is to understand  mankind's soul.

To speak to it, to listen to it, so that

in time all souls can break bread and drink milk,

when they wake.

My best achievement in life is never having killed anyone. My nickname is not to make you think I am morbid, I use it as a symbol of injustice. Let him dangle is a song about injustice from Elvis Cos.. more..
