My Dearest Love

I have found the one my heart belongs to! Truly this time!^^ It's a freeverse. I just sort of went with the flow.

As we lay in the grass, under the stars

fingers intertwined...

I know in my head that this isn't reality.

Not yet, anyway...

What I see and feel is only a dream.

The most wonderful of dreams...

Your breath plays upon my cheek as you lean down to whisper

"I love you..."

I smile, my eyes soft as I look up to you

We have fought through quite a few trials to get where we are

...but we finally made it. 

That's what counts.

The way we met, neither of us were looking for love...

But it seems that that is when love strikes hardest.

We fell for each other in an instant.

You saved my heart and I saved your smile.

Our days together are filled with love and laughter, smiles and joy.

I will never give my heart to another.

My dearest love...

My one and only joy.

Together, my darling...

For Eternity.

I found this highly profound and with a sense of mystery.. love certainly knows no bounds nor boundaries in time for many.. some laugh at that thought.. but it starts as lust in attraction on more than one level.. both physically and emotionally. Okay I don't know about right at FIRST sight but .. there can definitely be that breathtaking pause when you meet someone who really interests you. Over time we see more and more that attracts us.. and your lines:

I definitely believe that love strikes hardest when NOT looking.. I have felt that fuel of eyes meeting whereby your heart can almost stop.. breathless.. but I still think that feeling has to go past that to achieve REAL love.. over time such a meeting .. if the person has the qualities you were searching for.. then wow.. it can create the highest peaks of a really loving relationship. Good luck if this is real.. if creatively written.. you captured the essence of what I have only had twice in my life so far... that sadly didn't go for me ..ALL the way.
