illusion unveiled

illusion unveiled

A Poem by Liderien

My head spun under the sundered tree

It’s dominion lie recondite in me

The lingered blow of its illusory

Sluggishly I labored to rise on my feet

light within the turns closed upon me

my effort suffering like the broken sea

Her voice breathed exposure of thee

A Whisper of your barren authenticity

In this crowning relinquish, I could see

It was never meant to be

Wow! I just want to say BRAVO! I love the rhyming, the 3-line stanzas, and the perfect "it was never meant to be" conclusion! I think you chose your words brilliantly. Thank you for sharing, Liderien. :)
