I Never Went To Sleep

I never went to sleep last night. I wanted to see what happens while I sleep.

Because what happens before I wake is a mystery to me

It’s almost eight in the morning

I heard the rooster (next to me) loudly sing

I never went to sleep

I saw the sun rise

It was a surprise

How fast, light can come

And night can last

In a blink

I never went to sleep

I like this. It makes me think of the disoriented feeling we can get when we pull allnighters, for whatever reason. Just a blur of time and then the daylight comes. Nice work!
