Twice the Tempest

Twice the Tempest

A Poem by Ligeia

"

A cool breeze sends chills up and down my spine
as I proclaim in a whisper, "You'll always be mine."
The evening air flows about, stirring up our heat.
Your hands on my hips are smooth as summer sleet.

Your lips graze my bare neck, like thunder:
bright light in the night. We're so full of wonder.
I rise to meet your lightning, pale, proud flesh.
As young as our love, fair, fleeting, and fresh.

Yearning and lust shine deeply in our eyes
as we silently stare into deep, dark skies.
I grasp tightly your hand, I won't let go.
I've a feeling for you, which my strength might show.

Fiercer than the storm, our love will prove to be.
I promise to be yours, eternally.
