A Whole New Freedom

A Whole New Freedom

A Poem by Drake Parker

Just a poem about the freedom of skateboarding

I can feel the spring of the board beneath my feet
As I put them in position for the trick
The concrete gives me an internal beat
Telling me the perfect amount of flick

It's something to turn to in pain
Anytime.. Even in vain

It feeds my soul
Making it full

Once I'm on it
I feel so free
All I have to do is commit
And then it feels like part of me

beautifully written
and what a freedom it is
have just seen people
experience it
but i can tell
