Lonely Broken Girl

Lonely Broken Girl

A Poem by Stephanie

Another older poem of mine. True story.

Lonely Broken Girl

Her step father hit her

until she was bruised and cut

he said she deserved it

because she was a 's**t'.

She went to her room

and tightly shut the door

her step father banged and screamed

and hurt her some more.

He hit her so bad

she cried in pain

but without a care in the world

her step father kicked her again.

She tried to escape

but her step father was too strong

she questioned herself

just what did she do wrong.

She climbed to her bed

and her step father left

she couldn't see straight

her head was a mess.

She was just a little girl

barely six years old

all she wanted

was someone to hold.

She closed her eyes

but everything was a blurr

all she is now

is a lonely broken girl.
