Opportunity

Opportunity

A Poem by Meradee

We sit and wonder,

When will life pick up?

Am I bound to sit and ponder,

My life till I die?

We wait for opportunity,

That we long for but never seek.

We expect life to find us,

So we don't have to work.

We make our own opportunities,

Even when we're down.

For our opportunities open new doors.

Greatness awaits you,

If you just put your hand to the knob.

I was embarrassed by how much I can relate to this poem when I read it. This is probably my biggest problem. I love the structure and flow of your piece, yet there are a few grammatical errors. Your poems are very inspirational and lovely. You use analogies especially well.

I really liked this! I love the meaning of the poem......opportunity will come knocking if you just open the door. Great job!

You got it... you can't expect your dreams to come true by just thinking bout them, it takes hard work and determination. Very inspirational.
