In the Stillness of an Isolated Hour

In the Stillness of an Isolated Hour

A Poem by LinBin
"

A poem about...desperation

"

In the stillness of an isolated hour he pens out his heart to a friend; In the silent installments that beckon his life reaches it's  end

Lifeless body sprawled on the floor, death the accomplished goal;

What used to be a living man is now an empty vessel without a soul

Crumpled letter entwined in hand; words expressing his inner fears; a letter so full of anguish, and covered by lifetime of tears

Still bottle now void of pills, a vision of driven out hope,; a man too pained to carry on, a man too pained to cope

In the stillness of an isolated hour, a man took that final leap; he left a world of constant chaos & swapped it for the oblivion of  eternal sleep....

A world of constant chaos swapped for the oblivion of sleep. Can see how sometimes this can seem like a good swap. A flow that can only be written by someone with the gift. Another fabulous write :)

I have to agree, the first few lines give this piece a very gothic feel..
Dark, and gritty.. you get a feeling of being consumed in a smothering blanket of guilt, and regret..

Wonderfully penned, dark write. Almost gothic in a way, nicely done. Great write. Please do not hesitate to send me writes, I'm always looking for good reads.

though sleep is not oblivion except to this world.. when wakes on the other side we must begin anew to learn and teach as we are infinite and immortal in the Astral worlds..IMHO..nicely written...
