Women who went under cover in France during the second world war

Hannah,Violette, Denise, agents with many a different name

From all over Europe and from America the women came....

They were women with immense courage, all very highly skilled

They sabotaged enemy lines, knowing any day they might be killed

Some immortalised in films and books, of some you may never of heard

All very self determined women who lived by their wits and their word

Some were captured and tortured, some, for several months on end

But they told the Gestapo nothing, on their silence we could depend

Some women did survive but many didn't and were brutally slain

Young women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for no personal gain

Women of the Special .Operations .Executives, heroes we never knew

All who fought for what they believed in, and to the cause stayed true

When do you get around to worshipping yourself, just a little? A lot of hero-worshipping going on in your work. Maybe time to search inside yourself for more material? Search for the hero inside yourself . . . . cheap music, but funny how . .
