Hit Me Once, Hit Me Twice

Hit Me Once, Hit Me Twice

A Poem by Lindsey
"

This poem was for my English Social Justice Project and I liked it so I wanted to put it up to see.

"
SMACK! Hit me once,
The pain is all around.
SLAP! Hit me twice,
I'm bleeding on the ground.
CRASH! I fly out the door,
I don't think I can move anymore.
CRACK! My bones split from the core,
I don't think I can run anymore.
SPLASH! My tears drop from my face,
Please don't, this hurts, I'm only eight.

Very powerful and scary as I read it. My chest was about to burst from my chest as it was beating hard at the horror of child abuse. You have written a great poem that any victim of child abuse would have nightmares about. I think you did a great job here. The words sting as you read them.
