Roads

Roads

A Poem by Avoiry
"

Thinking about the feeling of lost roads 0-0.

"

The streets are turning around today

Looking to the places they have been

The blistered feet and roads most traveled

worn with history and left in wreckage

stuck in poor matters of state and physique

weep and laugh at the places they've taken

and the things they led astray

in the coldest winter

and the smiting summer of may

that melted away their tears of tar.

Reminding them of their fragile composition

and their silent plea to phantom patronage
