The Lonely Wish

The Lonely Wish

A Poem by Liquatic
"

A man seeks answers from a quiet God, to find the only goal of his life

"
Therein lies hope, it exists in the distance
Though I still question its existence
What has led me to resistance?
The loss of hope is my consistence

I pray for help, the curse tears my soul
But hearing no reply, it truly takes its toll
I ask all of these questions, yet I get no reply
When I say hello, you seem to say goodbye

I only want to smile, to laugh with one I love
But it seems thats not your plan, oh father from above
What do I have to do, to gain my only prayer
Must I give my soul some more, though I have no more to spare?

I only ask to find the one, to have a chance at life
Please don't change my fate, so I never get a wife.
I wish to leave a legacy, through the eyes of my child
My life would be complete, their laughs, I smiled.

Instead you block my path, forced to walk alone
If it is due to my sin, I will happily atone
I just want a family, something to cherish
I don't want to be alone, on the day I perish

My wish, I beg, I pray to you
Allow your light to break through
Don't let me die alone, drowning in tears
Instead let me leave of a family with cheers.
