The Black IrisA Poem by Color of the IrisWho says suffering will always have to pain me?
Only God can know what I've lost inside, And as my hate for you can only branch out Her black iris will scream death before the dawn No one knows what you've done That's the life behind your black power And no one wants to realize your the darkness That hypnotizes our world and lures it from the light Screaming for an answer Praying it will come Hoping it shall be heard And wishing you were done To be the only one to know There's a cost that must be paid And no matter how far we run It will be there when we return Your lust is greater than the breath of your care Dare not to waste it on me For I'm nothing, but worthless to you I can only equal the cast outs that you've thrown away My anger for you still germinates Like a seed nestled within the earth One day to sprout, and bloom Dominate the land around her Now you've gotten what you most desire And you hate all of the world You know you can't be helped So you use me, and think I can fix you The silence in this world Is the only key to the sanctuary A debt is placed upon us So we may not enter And as you sit highest in the sky Your crown resting upon your head I hope you know that one day You tower so high in the sky Will fall... © 2010 Color of the IrisAuthor's Note
