![]() Feeding The WolvesA Poem by Color of the IrisThe wolves watched her slit her wrists
And licked their lips as the hunger rose deep within them They tongued the blood that dripped from her fingers She was feeding the wolves But she must not have known better For the wolves were creatures of lust and only wanted more One drop of her sent their senses reeling Licking turned into teething And the teething turned into gnawing Then their gnawing turned into biting that broke her ivory skin Blood began to bleed through her white dress And she began to cry tears of black As she was being consumed by the wolves She knew better than to scream So she excepted her fate in silence to feel all the pain Nevermore could she feed the wolves The last thing she saw was a little white pup It was getting ready to pounce her hand Which was leaking crimson It was the mistake of her ignorance that lead to her suffering For she learned that temptation was her murderer © 2010 Color of the IrisAuthor's Note
