Unlikely

Unlikely

A Poem by Brilli B

Can you feel my presence?
You answer but you are hesitant,
Why do I care what you think?
Do you really make me believe,
That I am special?
But your heart is metal,
Cold like the touch of steel,
But the only thing I want is to feel something,
Something of worth?
More precious than all the diamonds in the world,
Is that selfish?
But you seem devilish,
But I say you are marvelous,
But you are still hesitating, and I'm waiting,
Do you really care?
But I realize this more of a dare than anything,
You don't care if I'm hurt,
You'll just leave me in the dirt,
Making my theories correct,
I'm just made out to be the pet.

I saw your note first, but even with that said, it seems so deep and meaningful. Such painful words.
