Words I Need To Say.

Words to help me get through the rough times.

All of my words have been broken,

I can't find the words to what I want to say.

But even if these words cannot be spoken,

There are still so many things I need to say.

My mind is an ever spiraling vortex of words.

Sometimes I'm able to pull out some coherent phrase...

But sometimes things are worse,

And I'm stuck in a numb sort of phase.

As a comfortable chapter in my life nears it's close,

I'm forced to think about what I'm going to do.

I think about you and the others that held me close,

And I'm thankful that after all of this, that still holds true.

I need to say whats on my mind.

But I don't even know what that might be.

I need to sing the song of my life.

But first there are those words that I need to find.

What are we but simple baby birds?

Each day is another step towards the fall that defines us.

We'll soon have to beat our wings to fly upwards;

Or else give up and fall into the unforgiving dust.

We all need help getting from branch to branch,

Tree to tree, forest to forest, and state to state.

But what makes the difference is who we have with us,

Helping us through our mistakes.

I'm thankful you were always there,

And will always continue to stay.

I'm not sure how I would have faired,

If you had truly gone away.

There are still words I need to say,

But I'll save those for another time.

For now, thanks for the wonderful memories,

That will always be yours and mine.
