No Words to be Spoken

No Words to be Spoken

A Poem by Gaia

Once there was a tiny you

Who found a way into my heart

A little spark you were " not more

Until there came the flame

Fueling you to grow into fire

Eating up all my insides

There are no words to be spoken

About how it feels having you burning inside

No words to be spoken

Between the two of us

No words to be spoken

The walls are too high

Walls built to separate

Walls to keep me sane

Walls too high to be climbed

Walls attacked by fire

A fire that is you

There are no words to be spoken

About how warm you are

No words to be spoken

How dangerous and volatile

No words to be spoken

About how much attraction a fire can hold

Firefingers crawling through me

I cannot hold it anymore

Walls cracking and falling apart

Giving up is the only right thing

So I'm standing here burning

This burns from the inside out... like how you consume the whole verse to the end... gives the reader a visual and goes into an inferno...

Very romantic.

This is a very emotional piece and I can feel the anger and hurt coming through in your words.
It can be hard to call an emotional piece poetry, as long as you are allowing your feelings to flow that is all that matters.
You portray your emotion well here, from the beginning when there was "a tiny you" letting the reader know how the feelings came to be throughout the piece. To the very end where you say giving up is the only right thing, but you are still burning.
It takes (me the reader) through your process.
Thank you for sharing

I am a woman who always liked to express her feelings in writing. I'm writing poetry although I do not really like to call them poems. They are merely thoughts running through my head. There might.. more..
