A Poem by Lauren..
"

Always tell the truth

"

Lies are not good,

Especially if you putting information in the world,

Computers leak false information,

Kids learn how to lie from somewhere,

Buildings are not important as the items that are inside of them.

Hm. Well said!
Libraries are buildings that house lots of information and knowledge. Libraries protect them from rain and wind and mouse poo.
That would seem to make them important.

But your poem reminds me of something also true, and even more important, and it is this: for thousands upon thousands of years people once housed information and knowledge in their memory. And it was shared with other people when they told stories, or sang songs, or danced in ceremonies.
Down in Australia the Aboriginal people used to even keep their travel maps folded into songs!

This is a thought provoking piece of writing, Lauren.
Thank you for sharing!
