The Sounds of Gaming

The Sounds of Gaming

A Poem by Raven's Soul

Hello Diablo, my old friend
I've come to kick your f*****g a*s again!
Because Sanctuary has need of me
And in a moment you will see
I will leave you bleeding
Hope the neighbors will ignore the screaming
Of obscenities
For these are the sounds of gaming

Through Hard Core Torment Level Six, I fought alone
My fingers ache and are numbed to the bone
'Neath a pile of crushed cans o' Mountain Dew
And crumpled bags of cheesy Doritos, oh so few
My eyes beheld the flashing of my health bar
And that my Primary Skill globe had been drained too far
My rage quit split the night
Made everyone jump in fright
For these are the sounds of gaming

As I reached for another can o' Dew, I saw
Ten Elites, maybe more
The Demons running towards me wildly without speaking
And here I am about to start really freaking
While the Scoundrel is bitching about taking the Templar
And for the Enchantress I never cared
And no one dared
Disturb my sounds of gaming

I'm fighting Urzael,
Why does he have to be such a fiery little b***h?
Did his mommy and daddy decapitate his barbie doll or teddy bear?
This fight really sucks,
I died again and it's just not fair!
Maybe if I sprinkle him with pixie dust,
Fed his unicorns, and gave him a balloon
He wouldn't be such a f*****g goon!

And to this Toon I've made,
Oh, how I've bowed and prayed
That she'd survive
And come out of the fight with the Angel of Death alive
Maybe I can finally win Torment Level Six and beat the game?
It's all gettin' really lame
Echoing down the apartment halls
And all along the walls
Are the sounds of my gaming

Author's Note

Raven's Soul
decided to screw around in a first attempt to right a gamer's version of the Sounds of Silence by Garfunkel and Simon. Hope you'll enjoy and possibly help make it sound a bit better. I think I can the general idea, but I need help to keep the words to the tune of the original song. Thanks.
