Dear Me.

Dear Me.

A Poem by Lone Shadow

Dear Me,

Another night has passed
Another tear falls on our pillow
Another rip in our heart
Another hole in our mind

Our hands curl in pain
Claws against an invisible lid
Our heart brings the sides in closer
Our coffin buried inside us

Our stomach turns in fear
Knotted and twisted in agony
We lay hear in the dark
Wishing for help, it does not come

Our face is tight and drawn
Our lips are cracked and dry
Our teeth are sore and brittle
Our smile has been replaced by sneers and grimaces

This is what we have become
This body is our prison
This feeling is our hell
No hero is coming for us

Love,
Me
