My closet's open door policy

My closet's open door policy

A Poem by lonely zephyr
"

Sorry for the discrimination all these years... my bad

"
There was a time when I was afraid -
afraid of the dark,
afraid of under my bed,
afraid of my closet

To repel the creatures, I decided to-
not turn the lights off,
not look under my bed,
not sleep with my closet open
Times have changed, today -
my lights keep my awake
my toys are under my bed,
my closet door stays open

The monsters are free to join me any time -
they ask me questions,
they shoot the breeze with me,
they give me tips on being scary
