Questioning

Questioning

A Poem by Emily

4/18/2018
Tonight I lay here questioning everything,
Questioning what’s going to happen next,
Questioning if I should sit you down and tell you how I feel,
This is all a lot harder then I expected it to be.
I would love nothing more then to be with you,
But you being married has put us in this awkward spot.
You told her she needed to leave,
But you telling her and her following through isn’t the same thing.
Will you back out or are you really done with her?
It wasn’t fair for you to kiss me when my eyes were closed,
I’ve wanted to kiss you for so long but had every intention of stopping it before it happened because you are still married.
You said this wouldn’t come in between our friendship but you’ve been so distant since you kissed me.

Guilt resides under the surface veneer of our behaviour; and this writing reflects both your emotions and the subject’s denial to resolve the issue at hand; one way or another! Whatever the results – someone will be hurt! Sadly poignant share, which I pray will end sooner than later …

so expressive and the hurt is vividly described here but have courage to oneself and i know you will make a good decision
