Poker Face

Poker Face

A Poem by J. A. Lucero

Glistening all around
Pale at the center
Foreign droplets trickle down

Sorrow stares on in shock
Inches segregate empty shell
Vision center on the clock

Sadness comforts one another
Frozen sight obstructed
As much rain as every other

Melancholy messages follow
Dark Angel set in ink
Quench this desiccated hollow.
