Christmas

Christmas

A Poem by Lorame

He sits at his window and looks past the glass.
He thinks of all that he is and all that he has;
His greatest moments and the best of times,
The glad tears that come and sweetness of rhymes.
The way the snow is falling and lays on the ground,
Making so much beauty for everyone around.
“I wish I could understand” says he to himself,
“How the most that we feel will eventually melt
Into the vast ocean of perfection there is,
And how we can’t see it, we cannot see it yet.
It’s as a snowflake that falls and falls through our hand,
And we marvel at it but don’t see the land.
How everything is that, not the snowflake we behold.
Someday we will realize, a new world will unfold.
So what I will celebrate this Christmas season,
Isn’t what I usually find to be the reason;
I will marvel at something, something greater than that.
That this day is a preview of something grand."

Beautiful, Lorame. The message given in this poem is precise and very meaningful. During this time of year I always find myself reflecting on my past, present and future. The rhyming was excellent, the poem very well written. I could not love this more.

Reflections of peace and good will to all,
is what I get from this. Pondering a future
for the better. Nicely done...

The holidays makes us think about things we wouldn't think about otherwise.
St. Nick is a caring person and wants those who deserve it, to be blessed. It's unfortunate that he may question his very existence, due to the ways of the world. But bolder outcomes will prevail! The future is what we wish it to be.
A nice xmas seasonal poem to put everything in perspective.
Good job!
Jeffrey
