Mason

Mason

A Poem by Lorelei
"

A simple poem.

"

One by one,

Word by word he layers

So precisely,

Each integral to the weight of the structure.

Dry stone mason by trade,

No excess words used to mortar.

Layering each in its proper place

It flexes with natural movement.

Often he cantilevers

Balancing so delicately

The slightest misuse

Tumbling his fabrication for rebuilding.

Within his architecture

I find solace

A wondrous alcazar built by this

Poetry Mason.

Excellent structure on a well laid foundation of unwasted words.
