Sapphire Skies

 

Sapphire, our names in captured skies
The sound of thunder replaces regret
Crashing down upon us, lightning
Passion's rare dream
Where we find ourselves on Forbidden streets
Hand in hand and heart to heart
Beating...beating
Together in rhythm
Our rhythm
Our time
Wasted these thoughts of throwing stones
We were never meant to dance alone
Upon us in grey and silver meshed
The clouds cover us in secret places
How we touched neath the crimson lights of a prisoned hope
Dare we say it and get too close
Chasing the love in a race with wind
Hurricane crashes upon shores of you and I
Where we lay silent like unmovable rocks
That make a perfect picture of what we wish to be
Our secret in sapphire captured skies
