Phantom Driver

Phantom Driver

A Poem by Lou Woo

Oh guys, oh gals, you better watch out
He's pulling up and into town
He's on your tail
He's on your trail
And soon its his name that will be shout

You won't hear him pulling in
You can't see him acomin'
He leaves the scene before you know
So you won't even see him go
Only his big sunny grin

I remember years ago
Exactly when? I do not know
[I was told] To follow my dreams to their destination
Driven by the phantom of determination
Strengthening my ego

And no he is not St. Nicholas
He is my heart, that's what he is
And he's tugging me, pulling me, driving me
He's pushing me forward to succeed
The motivation you can't miss
