Numbers game

Numbers game

A Poem by Laura Kate

she was TWENTY EIGHT
born on the FIFTH
ELEVEN was lucky for her

she was the SECOND of THREE
her childhood home was FOURTEEN
0161 the area code

she got all FIVEs in SATs
hated SEVEN times tables
and even worse her EIGHTs

she knows TWO guitar chords
came SIXTH in dressage
and ran the THREE HUNDRED M race

she gets up at SIX
takes the XTHREE to work
and likes to get TEN hours sleep

she has TWO savings accounts
one for her FIRST home
for her FOUR kids and future family

she was his number EIGHTY-TWO

what a bummer! 82 ....she needs to be number one...
clever use of numbers here...and maybe one savings account for if she ever needs a divorce...
