Red HeartA Poem by Louisa-MsiskaIt was initially meant for valentine's day. It shows that valentine's day should not only be the day to express love but that love can be expressed all year round.
I won't be your valentine
For valentine is just a day Celebrated once in a year A day so far away from the end of the year So if I love you on valentine's Who will I love for the rest of the year? I won't be your valentine For valentine is in red Symbolising the day's love I will love you for whatever colour Come white Blue Black Green and all those For if I favour you for red Who will I favour for the other colours? I won't be your valentine For roses are the flowers used On this day But what about the lillies Bamboo, Jasmine, Acacia And maybe the Amaranth and Mistletoe If I give you the roses Who will I give the othe flowers? I won't be your valentine For expensive restaurants and expensive meals are eaten But other french, italian, spanish restaurants open the rest of the year So if I take you there on this day Who will I take for the rest of the year? Be my valentine forever Let's celebrate our love together On each and every day In any other way With any other available colour Any known flower With just us being lovers If you accept to be my valentine Forever Then on the 14 February We will celebrate our love in red With roses so red In French restaurants decorated in red © 2015 Louisa-Msiska
