Your Make-Up

Your Make-Up

A Poem by Chris M

Previous Version
This is a previous version of Your Make-Up.

Your make-up sparkles, it rubs off on me,

When I get home from seeing you and l look into the mirror,

I can see it on my face, and I can see it in my eyes.

Your make-up is minimal and used to enhance,

It captures the light from your crystalline green eyes,

A beaming optimism shining through your skin.

Your make-up is gentle and sensitive and sweet,

Like your lips beneath, like your eyes beneath, like your skin beneath,

Your make-up is perfection.

Chris M
The metaphor should be obvious (her natural make-up vs cosmetic make-up) but do I need to delve deeper?
