A nightmare that won't go away.

A nightmare that won't go away.

A Poem by Megan Wylder

The sound of metal hitting wood,
A flash of white air bag,
And the smell of panic.

One screaming, the other left motionless
As hysterics fill the air.

No flashing emergancy lights.
No police sirens coming.
Only the old narrow road and wreckage.

Other car pass by with staring eyes.
The clock ticks faster racing time.

A desperate rush to the hospital doors.
The comfortating words that everyone's ok,
Followed by the nightmares that won't go away.

Grate poem :)

This is very well written. The flow was seamless and the images vivid.
Going from stage to stage of a crash, no words are wasted.
Executed exceptionally well.
Great work.
