![]() Empty ClassroomsA Poem by LowesyI am here, standing in the corridor, All alone, not knowing what I’m looking for, These halls are filled with ghosts, that have come to pass, They haunt me with eyes filled with shadows cast From my past, It haunts me still. A shiver down my spine I can feel the chill. These empty classrooms they line the walls, Filled with lost hopes and dreams Shadows surround me where I fall, And I can’t help but to scream. These empty classrooms they line the walls, Filled with lost hopes and dreams, Shadows surround me where I fall, And I can’t help but to scream. This school is different, it isn’t the same, The lost boy I was expecting, he finally came, He just stood there, Staring at me, Like a stranger, one from one of his dreams. I wish I could take him, and shake him, From his world of imagination And just tell him, to pay attention, To the lesson, The life lesson that was being taught Forever they told him that he was wrong, Well he was, or so it may seem, Maybe they were wrong to crush his dreams. Maybe. These empty classrooms they line the walls, Filled with my hopes and dreams Light surrounds me where I fall, And I can’t help but to scream. These empty classrooms they line the walls, Filled with my hopes and dreams, Light surround me where I fall, And I can’t help but to scream. Open up the curtains Open up your eyes, Let the light from sunshine, Shine through the midnight, And realise that forever you will always be right, To me. © 2011 Lowesy |
