A Gentle Whisper

inspired by a friend and a day out to the beach ♥♥

Clicking of stones,

brushing of sand,

whistle of wind, dance into her ear.

The breeze around her blows at her dress

making in swing in the 

rhythmic steps she takes.

She hums a gentle tune

to herself,

her mother used to sing to her

as a youth.

It calmed her mind,

made waves feel soft,

made the stones sound musical.

She was happy

No one was around,

yet she felt the presence

of a person.

She heard a voice, a whisper,

close to her ear.

A familiar voice,

a thrilling voice.

The voice of an angel,

Her angel,

Mum.
