I Remember...

another rambling song...

I remember waking to your eyes and all that I believed could never die.

Now I wish to fade it, this picture in my mind.

The details indistinct blurring as I cry... But they still try...

Let the tears wash away the pain.

Let the flood roll forth and kill the flames...

All of this... it still burns inside.

Let the skies break open and release their rains.

Let a downpour fall and wash it all away...

I don't want this... your eyes... In that blue I die.

I try to burn to ashes the aching wound once my mind.

I wish it all was slipping like smoke into the sky.
