Your Eyes

Your Eyes

A Poem by Lucifer Jones
"

Rambling crap as usual... song actually

"

As I sit alone each morning, another day has passed by.
I paint a portrait of you in my mind.
When all my hopes and memories have all but faded away,
I turn around and find oceans of snow and you waiting with the promise of  better days.
Your eyes help me make it through the night,
And your eyes promise everything's all right.
I have walked a path in heaven where angels only go.
I have seen the beauty of falling stars over never ending oceans of snow.
I seen a million sunsets come crashing to the ground.
I have wandered blinded and lost, but I have finally found... your eyes.

I remember the nights it rained,
I remember sharing our pain,
I remember the nights you cried....
But most of all I remember your eyes...
I remember nights of surrender, beauty gained...
I remember sharing til darkness wanes...
I remember every tear that we've cried...
But most of all...
I remember your eyes.

This is a beautiful poem, and I'm really glad I read it. ^^ It was heart felt (to me anyways) and I could feel the longing and the feeling of loss just pour off this page. I don't know if this was piece that you worked real hard on, but I think it is and it shows. This is a beautiful piece and I hope to see more of your work. Keep it up
