Hero

Hero

A Poem by Susan M. Fenn
"

For my knight in not so shining armor

"

Renaissance Man
thats what you are
A hero
to those near and far

Your armor tarnished
Not of bad deeds
But of hard work
Never ending speed

From start to finish
You never falter
Standing tall
Always honest

Your sword
Not meant to harm
Its edges sharp
Only to defend

Those that are close
Or far away
You've touched their hearts
With your caring way

Not many men
Could follow in your shoes
They don't have
That presence you possess

So polish your armor
Sharpen your blade
Prepare it again
For another day

Protecting the little ones
The lives, so near, so far
Forever fighting, protecting
My knight in shining armor
Thats what you always are...
