Can you feel me?

Can you feel me?

A Poem by Susan M. Fenn

Can you feel me?
Touch me?
Sense me?
Can you wander through the streets?
Find that which your heart desires?
Winding, flowing, getting lost in your eternal emotions?

Can you feel me?
Taste me?
Hear my heart?
Would you reach for me?
Call my name in the storm, that you call passion?
Wrap your arms around me, endure through the embrace?

Can you feel me?
Save me?
Severe the ties that bind me?
Would you protect us from the world?
Stand your ground in times of trouble?
Would you tell me that you loved me?

Can you feel me?
Protect me?
Watch me surrender?
Sink us both to drown our desires?
Send yourself down the spiral of despair, for that one moment of happiness?
Would you not just tell me that you love me, but would you, really mean it?

Can you feel me?
Take that chance?
Could you, would you, should you?
Should I?
