Stagnation Needs Rain

Stagnation Needs Rain

A Poem by Miss Habit
"

a poem that describes that dark place in the mists of a relationship gone wrong

"

Dark goo of hate
Bubbling solitude
A ghastly fate.

Painful past memories
You don’t hit me.

Belittle and degrade
You have and will.

Love as pure as Eden
I have for you.

Disintegrate me down
To dirt or less
So I have no self worth.

Inside bitter
Outside trying to please.

Incapable.

I retreat away from you
How sad you’ll be
Just as the man that beat.

Isolated.

Again alone but safe
afraid to roam.

I’ve always searched for love.

Contemplating.

Doubting its existence.

Progress halted
Evil despairing gate
Man exalted
Shameless female faulted.

Pond scum rotten
Stagnant relationship
Magpies fish dip.

Rain; the only freshness
Hide my tears away
Muddy swamp stuck muck games.

I pray for rain.
