Someone Should Tell Her

Someone Should Tell Her

A Poem by Ally Baker

You broke my heart and ruined my life

Time went on and both have healed

I haven't spoken to you since that day

That I was finally able to say goodbye

I see you around, and you see me

Yet we do not look at eachother

But now I cannot look away from you

And the girl whose hip is glued to yours

I see you looking into her eyes

With that feigned look you mastered

Which I sadly mistook as your love

And she seems to be doing the same

I can feel that ghost of pain

And I cannot help but wonder

If maybe you have changed

And learned the error of your ways

But I also cannot help but wonder

If maybe you haven't changed at all

And I'm worried for her sake you haven't

And do not wish that pain on anyone

I gave you my heart, my everything

And you and some girl had a blast

Dancing around on it, crushing it

Destroying my ability to trust a boy

I'm slowly learning that skill again

And it's a painfully slow experience

That no other girl should have to endure

After making a horrible mistake

I don't know what secrets you have shared

But the boy that I thought I had known

Would never admit to being a two timer

She has every right to know this about you
