A painful love for two.

Thorns

The path the lovers must walk,
is a long trail covered in thorns.
The two does not need to talk,
they charge forward like rhinos with pointed horns.
They understand their journey,
they created their own destiny.
But its a hard path they must follow,
they don't know what will come tomorrow.
On this painful path they must tread.
but they will always be connected by their read thread.
Its undeniable that they will feel pain,
who knows how long they will stay sane.
A thorn lies in every step they take,
their life is an endless dream they experience while awake.
For there is no time to rest, they must pass life's test.
Their bodies are wrapped in the thorns of dread,
but their hearts are still bound by their red thread.
The thorns attempt to separate the two,
but they are stuck together forever like glue.
Everyday is a trial,
but they accept each day together smiling.
Their hearts will suffer for a while,
as the paths before them may leave them crying.
But alas they are so much more powerful together than alone,
for the path of thorns cannot be traveled alone is already known.
At the end of a trail of thorns will be their hopes and dreams, a single rose for two.
