Cast The Heart Asunder

Cast The Heart Asunder

A Poem by Luke Timms

Cast my heart asunder and enjoy your I-less life
Angel of oblivion, beauty in tow only death deserves such’ a wife
Leave me to sit besotted, besotted I shall sit and be
Dis-heartened shrouded tears,
Should one weep at being free?
Oh! Such looks, the haymaker of dreams
Creating a shell shocked self, a hapless deer in high beams
So angry, twist my pubes I am!
Wander blindly from drink hole to broken dams
Push poison into my ears as my head does fall
Last line of a poem, the only one to end it all
