She Wanted To Be Beautiful.

She Wanted To Be Beautiful.

A Poem by La Luna

When everything became concealed
she wanted to see the lines
the lines of her rocks
are they white and hard?

At times she compared herself
To those who bloom and grow tall
I guess she couldn't see anything.

Arched back
won’t hide the wide stomach
the fast pace won't make you
Lose the weight of the world
Not even your burdens

But did i tell you that when you arched your back
Wings grew.
When you walked fast, you almost flew.
When you sat the world stilled
your grace has come home.
But don't be dead
your beauty will fade.

Sad and beautiful, melancholic and special.
I had to think about this poem a little bit until I was sure that I got the right meaning. You depicted somehow an anorexia that ended in death. But here the death is freedom and beauty, because "her grace came hom" only the last line is confusing with my theory...or is it about inner strenght and beauty? Whatever, it still is a readable poem!

sometimes, or i kept reminding myself's worth is not about what people see in me, its about how our heart touches the good things of life, the good things that you have to cherish not the unnecessary things that are unimportant... inner beauty and strength flourish that never gets old... very nice piece...
