A Poem by Luna Tique Fringe
"

inspired by sculpter Joseph Cornell's assemblege art, particulary Cockatoo with Corks http://www.ibiblio.org/wm/paint/auth/cornell/

"

Aspects of life dogmatically examined,
sorted and resorted,
categorized, prioritized
re-shelved or dealt with appropriately

I am a devotee of the Religion of the Box
compartmentalization, the doctrine

As in a kosher kitchen,

certain items must remain separate
for fear of bringing down the wrath of God

or causing spontaneous combustion,
like Friday's date meeting Saturday's
on a Sunday afternoon at the park

Boxes labeled *HAZARDOUS* have lids

I don't open those, just crack them
far enough to slide something else in,
then slam them shut, tight

the contents mangled, misshapen,
not for display

awaiting confession,
punishment, absolution

Pandora has nothing on me

Stacking boxes, as it were.
It is a good poem.
I wonder though, if the fact that the poem has been published should have bearing in whether one critiques the work?

How did I know that Pandora was lurking there at the bottom? :)

Just where she should be . . . congrats on the publication of the piece.
