Power Down Live a Little

Power Down Live a Little

A Poem by Lunalove6963

Stay Connected
They say
But how can this technology
Keep us connected
When no real words ever leave our mouths
Yes it sucks us in
But not for the good
It takes away
Precious memories with our kids and
Loving memories with our families
When time could have spent
Together.....
It's pulled apart
By little black boxes
Blinding us from
What in front of us
Killing your relationships
With every click
Wasting time
On something that is not real
It may give you a rush
But where is it
When you need to be loved
And sure it's there when you need a little knowledge
But it can't take place of your families
Yeah there are things that can make you laugh
But it can't kiss your lips
And say I love you
Sure it keeps everyone entertained
But it can't play with your kids
Or lay with you in bed
So power down
And live a little
Live outside
Those little black boxes
